30 day Self love challenge

Day one
Commit to the Challenge
What kind of self love would you like to work on in this challenge? Ask yourself what you struggle with and what part of yourself you would like to love more.
Day two
Mirror, mirror
Take a full-length mirror, look at yourself properly and name five things you like about your body out loud. These don’t need to be physical compliments; they could be thanking your body for all it does for you. Whatever feels most comfortable.
Day three
Self love list
Write a list of five things you love about yourself that aren’t about your body. Is it your intelligence, your kindness, your passion, your resilience?
Day four
Stop negative self-talk
It isn’t easy, it can so often slip out or come out as a joke but beating yourself up chips away at your self-esteem. When you find yourself saying something negative about yourself, take a moment and think “why did I say that?” “how can I be more positive about myself”?
Day five
Put Yourself First
Make a list of things in your life that you want to say "no" to and things that you want to say "yes" to.
This is to remind yourself that you are in control of your time and how you spend your time, it can be empowering to take time to think about what you want and what you don’t. It's important to set boundaries.
Day six
Invest in Self-Care
Think about something you can do to care of your body and your mind more, is that eat healthier food, exercise more, meditating, spending less screen time?
Day seven
Consider your sleep habits
Consider your sleeping habits, do you sleep not enough or too much? How can you improve it? Do you need to improve your sleeping environment or de-stress more before bed?
Day eight
Things that make you happy
Write down a list of things that make you happy, how can you do more of them or savour more what is on the list?
Day nine
Embrace happiness
Take something from your happiness list and plan it to do it later.
Day ten
Embrace gratitude
Thank someone who has done something kind for you recently.
Day eleven
Embrace some more happiness
Create another list just of songs that make you happy then listen to them!
Day twelve
Embrace gratitude more
Write down ten things/people that you're grateful for. It can be anyone from a friend that has helped you through a difficult time or the roof over your head?
Day thirteen
Take time out
Take a quiet moment for yourself with no phone or distractions. Go for a walk or sit quietly somewhere.  Enjoy the peace and your own thoughts. Be comfortable being alone and quiet.
Day fourteen
Set your goals
Set three long term goals for yourself and save them somewhere to remind yourself of what you are aiming for. These can be professional or personal goals.
Day fifthteen
Do a self love activity
Take time to focus on your body, nourish it, pamper it, care for it. This can be a long bath, a face mask, an exercise class, whatever works for you.
Day sixteen
Give someone else a compliment that isn’t about the way they look.
Connect with someone else over a genuine compliment.
Day seventeen
Buy yourself a gift
Treat yourself the way you wish other people treated you. What gift do you deserve to give yourself? Make sure it is something that you would buy as a gift, maybe some flowers, a candle or some fancy chocolates.
Day eighteen
Do a small act of kindness
Self love is also about connecting with other people and sharing your love with others. Small acts of kindness can help with this, buy someone a coffee, support someone in a project, lend someone a book.
Day nineteen
Reach out to someone you have spoken to in a while.
Is there someone you have been meaning to get in touch with? Give them a message or a phone call to reconnect. Think about your loved ones, do you make an effort with them? Do they with you? You feel happy with them?
Day twenty
Spend intentional time with a loved one.
Take some time to connect with a loved one. Talk about meaningful topics no distractions. Think about your relationships, would you like to improve them? How could you do that?
Day twenty one
Disconnect from social media for a day.
Not an easy one for me! Take a day off social media, use it to think about social media's place in your life. Are you happy with the time you spend on it? Would you like to spend less time or on different types of social media?
Day twenty two
Try something new
Self love is about continuing to grow and have adventures. Have one today!
Day twenty three
Move
Treating yourself with love is about giving your body what it needs. It needs joyful movement however you want to do that...walking, cycling, boxing, dancing.
Day twenty four
Drop a bad habit
What bad habit gets you down? Think about strategies you can use to stop it. Taking positive action on bad habits is healthier than beating ourselves up for failing to change.
Day twenty five
Pick up a good habit
Now you have room in your life for a good habit, so it's a good time to try to pick one up. However be gentle on yourself if you struggle with good habits. Self love isn't about being perfect.
Day twenty six
Celebrate yourself
Make a list of everything you have achieved this year, big and small. Take a moment to celebrate how far you have come and what you have achieved.
Day twenty seven
Set boundaries
Notice the people and places that you feel drain you. Check in with your mind before exposing yourself to these situations. Creating new boundaries can be the biggest step to self-love. Choose to be surrounded by light
Day twenty eight
Eat healthy and well
What is your relationship with food? Is it healthy and positive? Do you see food as a "bad" or "naughty" force in your life? How does your relationship with food impact your self love and happiness. With a group of friends, discuss this open and honestly.
Day twenty nine
Schedule time to get out into nature.
Either head to into the countryside or get lost in a park. Just do something that takes you completely into nature. Breathe it in and appreciate it in all its messy beauty. Just like you.
Day thirty
A Love Letter To Yourself
We all deserve a love letter, and whether or not we're getting one from somebody else, it's a great idea to write one for ourselves because we know ourselves best. So, on the last day of the self-love challenge, you write yourself a letter about your best qualities, what you bring to the world, and all the good things you deserve. Something to inspire you as your self love journey continues.
